Its agentic assistant, called Cascade, can read your codebase, make changes across multiple files and run through tasks step by step while you stay in charge. It sits in the same family as Cursor and GitHub Copilot, and after a high-profile deal in 2025 it is now part of Cognition, the company behind the Devin coding agent.

Developers use it to speed up refactoring, bug fixing and building new features, describing what they want in plain language and reviewing what the assistant proposes before it lands.
